The Power of Colour

As originally intended this piece has now been stained.

The movement in the piece has also stopped and nature has been left to dictate the final stages of form.

I'm not entirely sure if this piece is finished.  I like the way it has turned out so far but am open to suggestions on where to go from here.  Maybe in the bucket!!!

  1. HI Lee

I have been watching this with interest.
I enjoy the process that you are showing here and for me it holds a lot in relation to my interest of wabi Sabi. Allowing the wood to crack and follow its own direction is very frightening at times but also very helpful in the process of learning to let go. After all what ever we do or make as you know is impermanent.

    Looking good with the colour.

  2. I forgot to say. Have you thought about placing this on a rectangular stone base, perhaps stained black for colour contrast. Then you might be able to place a contrasting sphere smaller in size next to it.

Don't know may work may not, just an idea.

    Take care
