The Dansel Gallery

My work is now being sold in the above gallery.  I am very pleased that my work has been accepted and hope for both the gallery and I, that our relationship will be one of success and prosperity.

Please pay a visit to the Dansel Gallery, they have many works being represented from some great, contemporary artists.

All information regarding the Dansel Gallery can be viewed at the above link.

Abstract Sculpture

I recently had the need to return to subject matter that enjoyed many years ago and that is Abstract work.  A while ago I used to express myself through the medium of abstract paintings but I was always dissatisfied with my output.  However, I find myself surrounding by all of the right circumstances to now create abstract work in 3 dimensions.

It's great being able to feel a sense of real freedom when in a creative and abstract state of mind.  There is a knowledge that you are somehow responsible for what you are doing but not for the HOW or WHY you're doing it.

The fascinating thing about exploring creativity in this way is that the end result can often be as much of a surprise for me as it is for anyone else.  I can also view my work as somehow being seperate from me and more a part of the collective unconscious.

I hope you enjoy looking at these images of the piece.  Feel free to contact me via my website if you wish to discuss it further.  It's always interesting to speak with other creatives.

Sources of Inspiration

For me, inspiration comes from everywhere...literally.  Every single piece of data collected by our senses is a potential source of great inspiration and all we have to do is be open to the ideas and concepts presented by this data.

When we do this, it allows our mind to open and expand.  We must let go of all the usual, logical and cognitive processes we generally rely on most of the time.  Only when we do this do we allow the mind to accept 'inspiration' and the many overlooked forms it can take.

The great thing about all of this is that it's up to each individual to decide how to deal with their own inspiration.  We can encourage a certain way of thinking in others but ultimately anyone can be inspired, they just have to be open to the idea.
